Can anybody recommend a product that would help solve this mobility problem for a big guy?

Question : Can anybody recommend a product that would help solve this mobility problem for a big guy?
I am a really big guy 5’9″/330 lbs who is having problems with chairs that are too low and a real strain to get out of. I have a comfy lift chair, but it is not very practical when I’m at the dinner table or using the computer. My physical therapist recommended furniture cups but the choices are befuddling. I am not ready for a scooter.

What about using a walker to help lift you up out of the chair? That would be simpler than a whole new chair. Just keep it beside you, and when you start to get up, hold onto it until you get out of the chair.

Question : has anyone (everyone) forgotten…?
… that farrah faucett and ed mc mahon also died this week and to their professional credit they were both without questionable morals ithroughout their lifetime….yet i see almost nothing on them and way too much on jackson, not only in the mainstream media but on almost every catagory of yahoo answers as well…even yahoo answers itself has chosen to highlight the jackson legacy by asking a corporate question of their own and nothing on faucett or mc mahon…i guess even they have forgotten.
all of these people were entertainers in their own right and should all be remembered together instead of one being weeded out as the “best” and given preferential treatment.

Can someone revise my paper on anerexia?

Question : Can someone revise my paper on anerexia?
I have to write a paper and i would like your feed back i need this paper to be perfect because its the only thing passing me!

The representation of only one model of beauty on television has attributed to women forming unrealistic body image expectations and lead to an increase in anorexia among young girls. Anorexia Nervosa is a mental condition which affects one’s both physical and mental health. It is a condition that causes one to have a distorted self-image and forces themselves to starve even if their body weight is already dangerously low. They often restrict their food intake to the point where they are extremely thin.

It seems today that eating disorders are on the rise. While this may be true, the numbers may appear to grow only because more cases are being brought out into the open. The purpose of this paper is to discuss eating disorders and prove that these diseases, specifically Anorexia Nervosa, continue to plague of women due to psychological and environmental factors along with pressure from the media. The term “Anorexia Nervosa” is misleading. It means “loss of appetite due to nerves.” But people with anorexia don’t actually lose their appetite until the late stages of their starvation. Until, they do feel hungry, but they just won’t eat. People affected by anorexia have an extreme fear of gaining weight. In addition to drastic dieting, they may resort to vomiting and the use of laxatives and diuretics to lose weight. Statistics show that many teens and young adults suffer from anorexia nervosa. Without treatment, anorexia nervosa can cause serious health problems–even death! The sooner treatment begins the better the chances for a full recovery. The person with anorexia is a model child. He/She is well behaved, eager to please, and a good student who gets along well with her peers. She rarely admits that anything is wrong or that anything is wrong or that she/he extra helps. Behind the mask is an insecure, self-critical perfectionist who feels unworthy of any praises she receives. A person who has anorexia is also very concerned about whether other people like her. And she is constantly feeling self cautious about herself which makes it even worse about who she is as a person.

Anorexia nervosa is a life-threaten eating disorder defined by refusal to maintain body weight. Other essential features of this disorder include an intense fear of gaining weight, a distorted body image, and an absence of at least three consecutive menstrual cycles
(amenorrhea) when otherwise expected to occur in women. Sometimes people starve and binge, depending on the extent of weight loss. This can be physically very dangerous. On TV we see people who are rich, beautiful, and above all are thin They see these people and think if they were thin they too would be rich, and beautiful, people would like them. Eating disorders are seen primarily in western and industrialized countries, where slimness is a model of attractiveness some experts feel that the causes of anorexia are relative to demands from society and family. For many anorexics, the destructive cycle begins with the pressure to be thin and attractive. A poor self-image compounds the problem. Often anorexia starts when a teenager or young woman goes on a diet to loose a little weight. Spurred on by the compliments they get, they may become obsessed with dieting. They may think to themselves. “If losing a little weight’s well, loosing a lot must be great.” People with anorexia typically have low-self esteem and are easily that being thin would give them all the confidence in the world.

Many anorexics accept anorexia as a way of life and this is how you
become popular and loved. Many fashion models are anorexic due to pressure put on them to look thin. Then young teenagers see these stylish skinny models and fell this is acceptable to do what ever is necessary to look like these models on covers of magazines and on the cat walks. On the Internet, website are widely available which encourage anorexia. They show pictures of models, which have been altered. Their limbs have been made longer and shadows created underneath their ribs to make them look even thinner. Some people who have anorexia become obsessed with getting fit and continuously exercise but don’t replace energy lost in the body, therefore the body uses the muscle and soon it deteriorates and the person becomes weak, just so they can be thin. Many famous people have been affected by anorexia. One in particular was Karen Carpenter who was one of the first public cases know. She felt pressured by her job as a singer to look thin and beautiful so she starved herself. Karen Carpenter died February 4, 1983 of heart failure caused by chronic anorexia nervosa. She was thirty-two years old. She battled with it from 1975-1983 (when she died). She went to New York at the end of 1981 for
a year of treatment by a psychiatrist but the damage had apparently been done. Plu

BMI anorexia inpatient?

Question : BMI anorexia inpatient?
I know I have a problem…I can’t eat without feeling guilty..today I had 1000 calories and I feel like a failure I want to purge so badly.. I think I am actually I feel disgusting..
I’m 17. 5’7 and 98 lbs. my bmi is 15.3
my symptoms
-random bruises all over
-dizzy spells–feeling as if I’m going to faint
-constant fatigue
-always feeling fat and comparing myself to others
-blacking out when I stand up
-anxiety, depression, inability to concentrate, ocd

if I went to the doctor (I’ve already been accused 3 times of having an ED by my psychiatrist and my doctor, but denied it.), would I be forced into inpatient with a bmi of 15.3? I can’t stop.. as much as I want to be normal again and not constantly calculate my calories and feel the need to purge if I eat more than 500-600 calories, I can’t. at my last doctors appt. I was told to try to gain weight, but I lost more… I’m scared of becoming fat and losing control of myself.. anorexia makes me feel good about myself, but then I never win–the scale always needs to be lower. I’m never satisfied, and in some ways I don’t want this cycle to stop, but in other ways I know I need to–to feel normal again and be healthy–healthy to me though translates a fat.. I’m scared.

Hey!

I know what you’re going through is hard. I have trichotillomania, am 5’8 and 115lbs and feel fat. I’d reccomend you go to check yourself in to a eating disorder rehab center, or visit therapy. Also, I find a lot of comfort in www.dailystrength.org. it has many support groups, with lots of people feeling the same way you do.

You do need to gain weight, at least get to 110. You won’t lose control and make yourself fat. You just won’t, okay? Calories do not translate to fat. Calories are really just little packs of energy. high fat and sodium translates to fat.

Please, seek some help. You are amazing. You are beautiful. Keep in touch, my email is luvinlife2thextreme@yahoo.com. Remember: you can do this. you can be healthy, be normal.

Last few words: You ARE BEAUTIFUL. You ARE NOT ALONE.
