Question : How do porcelain veneers hold up to impact?
Without getting into to many details,
Considering porcelain veneers, but I box, would they pose any more of a risk? Would a mouth guard no longer be sufficient?
Have an appointment with my dentist coming up, and I do plan to discuss this concern with him, but I’m still wondering.

really depends on the force of the impact. but i have broken mine biting my nails.
A lot depends on your bite and how much abuse they will get. There is no doubt that they will not be as strong as your natural tooth. However with a well made mouth guard they should have sufficient protection. Nothing has a 100% guaranty and if you would receive a hit that would damage a natural tooth, it most certainly would damage a veneer. Roll the dice.
