How do I know when to replace dental bonding?
Question : How do I know when to replace dental bonding?
I’ve had dental bonding between my two front teeth for over six years now and I recently noticed there is more of a space than usual. The bonding seems to be deteriorating on only one tooth. Do I get it replaced now? I always wondered if it was just supposed to fall off or what. That’s kind of a scary thought….having your bonding fall of at an unsuspecting moment. Anyway. What should I do? What are some of your experiences?

Bonding is basically a plastic resin type material that will eventually wear away and stain. 6 or 7 years is around the normal life span for them. If the bonding would fall off, the tooth would not be sensitive but wouldn’t look too nice. If you don’t like the way it is looking now, it’s not going to get better, only worse. So yes you can replace them now.
