Question : where can I find good inexspensive prescription safety glasses?
Ok, So I have a question. I wear prescription glasses and our department wants everybody to wear safety glasses on calls. I currently have a helmet shield so it’s not a big deal but will soon have a helmet with no shield. I have a set of safety glasses but can’t see anything with them on as they are not prescription. Is there anywhere that makes decent safety glasses that will go over my glasses or prescription safety glasses that dont cost an arm and a leg. I tried Galls to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Home Depot, or any similar store will have safety glasses.
Wal-Mart has some decent prices in their optical dept.
Check Sears, too.
If you have a current prescription, you can get a pair for under a hundred bucks.
Lenscrafters offers discounts for insurance.
They don’t bill the insurance, just provide a discount for having it.
The discount for having Delta Dental was higher than the one for having Blue Cross/Blue Shield.Slowly, the brain kicks over……Dept, calls and Gall’s he said……

“Gallaway Safety and Supply”.Look up Sideshields in Eye Protection,they are used with your glasses and are slip-on design.Above all they are MSHA and OSHA approved.I believe its at http://www.gallawayb2b.com.The B-22 works good for me as some of Bouton’s ,cost is about $ 3 pr.
