Question : When weighing yourself on a scale, does the platform matter?
I was weighing myself the other and found out that the measurement of the scale varied upon the platform on which I placed the scale upon. Is this suppose to happen or is there something wrong with my scale? If it is suppose to happen, Why?/How?
For example, when I placed the scale on a carpet, I weighed less, but when I didn’t put it on a carpet, I weighed more.

no this should not happen, since the sale measures your weight, mass times acceleration, it really just measures the force you are exerting on the scale, doesnt matter whats after the scales platform.
