If you have an old weather radio it will go off every time there is a warning in your state.
If you have a new radio you program your zip code and it will give you more specific warnings.
Wjy don’t you go to NOAA’s website and learn why?
It will go off once there is a Tornado Watch, then if a Warning in your county is given it will go off, but the National Weather Service has to trigger it.
