What medicine should I take to control overactive bladder?
Question : What medicine should I take to control overactive bladder?
I think my bladder is only “overactive” because of all the caffeine/coffee I drink, but I’d like to make sure.
I’m quitting caffeine (coffee).
It would be best if you could recommend an over-the-counter medication.

There currently aren’t any over the counter medications that treat overactive bladder. If the problem doesn’t resolve itself in a day or so after you lay off the caffeine, you should see a doctor.
1] Stop ALL caffeine – coffee, tea, chocolate, sodas with caffeine – colas, Dr, Pepper, Mt. Dew, etc
a] read the labels – even cream and orange sodas can have caffeine , chocolate
2] may take a few days to work, but has helped almost everyone I know who tried it
3] alcohol can affect bladder too – monitor it when you drink to see how it affects your bladder
