Your hotel is near Tiananmen Square, so you are a walking distance, maybe one block or two, to Wangfujing pedestrian street, where you will find several reputable stores selling cell phones and other electronic goods.
The nearest shops selling mobile phones to the Novotel are located in the Wangfujing(aka the Walking Street) They are open 7 days a week and China Mobile has an official shop selling mobile phones of many makes,local as well as Nokia,Motorola,Sony-Ericksons,Samsung etc.Their prices are fixed and will not bargain, their quality is guaranteed and carry the company’s warranty.The Beijing Wangfujing Department Store too has a huge selection of mobiles in stock.
