Question : What happens in outpatient treatment for bulimia?
Can you please tell me in details what happens everytime you go for a checkup to the doctor when you’re in OP. Tell me in specific details..like do they weigh you? give you a meal plan? blood tests? etc…and how often do you have to go. please tell me everything you know

They feed you.
For any outpatient treatment, they will do a mental health assessment, you’ll get urine test, probably a blood test, an EKG (monitors your heart) and they weigh you on a “blind” scale (you can’t see how much you weigh) they also set you up with a dietitian and write you out a meal plan. Most ED out patient programs require you to be in patient first. Also you will usually eat at least lunch at the facility if not lunch and dinner.
They do a lot of goal setting activities, and you have to go to group and things of that sort. And you have to talk to a therapist or clinical social worker or someone to that affect. It’s really beneficial if you want it to be.
