What are the basics and some advice for starting a low-carb diet?
Question : What are the basics and some advice for starting a low-carb diet?
I want to get fit for a couple of reasons. I’m at risk of being overweight and I also want to help boost my self-esteem. I am 5’8, 165lbs, 14, and I’m a male. My doctor suggested my losing some weight just to stay in the “safe” zone because of family records of diabetes. I do exercise somewhat, 20 push-ups, 50 crunches, and every so often I run for about 20-35 minutes. I drink atleast a gallon of water a day.
What are some things I need to know to get started?
What foods would you reccommend for the first couple days of the diet?
How can I stave off some cravings?
How long will it take for me to see results?
What foods would be ok for me to eat?
diabetes and zone diet

don’t eat bread. :B
Well, ween yourself off of starches including bread, pastas, potatoes, yucca root, and sugars. High lean protein sources including nuts and legumes. Plenty of water, you know the rest. Good luck.
