The VERY FIRST question to ask a teen with depression is if they are on the medications that produce double the rate of suicide for this age group – the SSRI/SNRI antidepressants – Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, Celexa, Lexapro, Cymbalta, Effexor, Remeron, etc.
Since Michael had been in rehab his chances of being on one of these deadly drugs was EXTREMELY HIGH since rehabs seem to always recommend these drugs – a practice that is not only unethical but very dangerous and far too often fatal.

This does not even surprise me. A women with 8 kids plus being mormon and dealing with those moral beliefs it’s bound to happen. Once her kids reach adult years she is going to pay more attention to her younger kids even though her son had been in rehab 2 years prior. I would have jumped too if she was my mother or I had to be raised Mormon.

This is so true! When my son went to his Psychiatrist and the first thing they asked when he was depressed did he feel like killing himself! At the time he had suicidal Ideaologies! He has been with his dr for 2 years and yes he is on meds to help him. Alot of people don’t think it is necessary but sometimes it is!!

The pressures growing up with famous parents are nothing compared to the psychological manipulation HEAPED upon those who chose to subscribe to the BIGOTED dogmas masterfully woven into The Mormon Church. it pisses me off seeing how the ‘Blinder-Wearing-Separatist’ Dogmas the LDS Church preaches keeps claiming life, after life.
