Question : treatment centers for anorexia?
Im going into a treatment center. I’ve been overcoming it on my own and im now eating but im still losing weight so i need to go in for help but im wondering what its like, like what do tehy make you eay and stuff?? thanks in advance =]

It depends where you go. When I was hospitalized, I was fed by a tube before I could start eating.
Once I was able to eat normal food, it was monitored. Nobody would make me eat, but every single bite I ate was noted, and if I lost weight, I was made to go on the scales twice per day so that the doctors knew whether I needed to be tube fed again.
It can also be that if you don’t need to be tube fed, you will have additional high calorie shakes as a supplement on top of the normal meals. They contains all the nutrients you need and make it easier to achieve some weight gain without making you think that you are constantly being forced to eat. I am not a big fan of those shakes though because in my opinion you do not actually realize that you need to eat a lot more once you stop having the shakes. Therefore you might start to lose weight again when you stop drinking them. And then it all starts again because you THOUGHT you were eating enough, but it was actually the shakes that had the greater impact. So proper food is better in my opinion.
The place where I was worked on the following principle: They set a goal weight for me, and the closer I was getting to the weight, the more privileges I got: For example to be allowed to leave the hospital for a certain amount of time, to engage in special groups and when I did really well I was able to go home for the weekend.
I would recommend that you do try your best to eat sensibly and to follow the advice you are given. If you refuse to eat, it will only delay the progress and you will remain ill. I hope you are serious about getting better and healthy. Please accept the help you are offered. Anorexia will not go away if you are not 100% commited to overcoming it. It will rule and ruin your life and can kill you. You can get help, but it is your responsibility to make use of it in order to leave it behind.

It might be a little rough but you can handle it. Just keep in mind it is going to take time for your stomach to get back to normal after being starved so badly.
Just take it one step at a time. I know if they have to stick I.V’s in you that I hate those things too. So you are not alone in hating those things,
But they have to get you built back up no doubt about it.
You are not going to win this fight over night. It is going to take time but you are doing good so far.
Hang in there and keep on fighting don’t give up. You’re going to win this fight..
