Some dentists will simply put a tooth colored filling on the sides of the teeth that do not meet. It depends on the dentist, on how big the gap is, and perhaps other factors as well. Good luck.
i would maybe recomend it before braces if that is the only thing. it isnt much. is should be about as much as a filling, i would think about $ 80, give or take. i wouldnt think much more than that. that includes the visit and everything. try to schedule it with another appointment. they are more likely to not charge as much if at all. just keep in mind if you bleach your teeth alot, or smoke or drink coffee it will be affected!!!
