Lithium Mobile Power in Boston from November 3-5, 2010

instead of

Brookline, MA (openPR) 6 October 2010

The Knowledge Foundation announced that Dr. Steven Visco, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of PolyPlus Battery Company, to present the latest developments in battery technology lithium-air on the 6th Lithium Mobile Power Conference in Boston, MA from November 3-5, 2010. Lithium-air are in a position extremely high energy densities, far longer than conventional lithium-ion batteries, maybe even compete with the energy density of oil.

Dr. Visco will discuss various approaches to the development of lithium-air batteries and the advantages and disadvantages of each technology. In the 1990s, invented PolyPlus the protected lithium electrode, which allows the practical development of high energy density lithium / water battery technologies, including lithium primary and secondary air. It also allows greater flexibility in the development of lithium-air non-aqueous in a selection that much more non-aqueous solvents and electrolytes can be used. Lithium-air chemistry can be extremely high energy densities reach above 800 Wh / kg for 2 Ah cell lithium-air laboratory, and 1300 Wh / kg for 13-Ah lithium battery water.
