Question : Testosterone Replacement Therapy/TRT Questions?
I have a few questions — my husband has had his testosterone levels tested and he is at 140; he will be meeting with his doctor in a few weeks to discuss treatment options. He is leaning toward the shots though I am leaning towards the patch based on research I have done. I will let him decide what he wants to do of course but I was wondering if any men out there have had the treatments and which ones work the best overall. He is 46 years old if age has any bearing. Also, does this completely ‘cure’ his ED and total lack of desire (viagra/cialis, etc. did nothing to help)? And….how long does it take for the treatment to kick in and help with the sex and his general better overall feeling? Any info you could pass along would be helpful, thanks so much! By the way — we would never have thought to have his testosterone tested until I put up a previous question re his ED and disinterest in sex – I am very grateful to the person who suggested he get his levels tested as it turns out they are extremely low .

Injections would be more effective than the patch. On top of that, he doesn’t have to worry about replacing the patches every so often.

There’s also the incredibly slim chance that, if he has his arm around someone, the medication would be applied to someone else.
