should i eat what i want now and increase caloric intake?
Question : should i eat what i want now and increase caloric intake?
in feb. i was forced into a treatment facility for anorexia. my bmi was around 16.3 and i was on the brink of death. i got out in march and weighed 125 lbs (i’m 5’9”). i’ve been battling this everyday and lost 15 lb in the process (so now i’m 110). i was eating about 800 calories a day, but i’m definitely not doing that anymore. one day i ate what ever i wanted and didn’t count calories- everything seemed to be fine until i woke up in the morning. my heart was racing and i felt like i had too much energy- like i could just run a marathon. it wasn’t normal, i was panicking and my heart was soaring. usually my heart beat is really low (it was in the 30s at my lowest weight). i want to eat more and more each day but i’m scared because of what happened to me the day i ate anything i wanted. what should i do???
anorexia treatment facilities
Best answer:
This is really a question you need to ask your doctors or counselors that helped you in the Spring. You obviously need to eat more than 800 calories a day, but the racing heart is nothing to fool around with. Consult the professionals and/or review any literature you got at the facility.
