Question : PLEASE HELP:Will orthodontia effect whether my face will look more mature or not?
Im 13 and I have braces again for the second time. my orthodontist says he needs to put braces on me while my face is still growing. he says the right side of my jaw is growing much faster so yesterday he put elastic bands attaching my top and bottom teeth and they hurt like hell. anyways, i was wondering if all of this will still allow my face to look older or not.

you,ll be the 1st to know. never thought about this as a kid with braces.
Yes, your face will look older as it should as you grow. There is no way to say to what degree as you don’t know, and never will know, whether the braces has changed anything. What ifs are useless.
And elastics should hurt for the first couple of days until you get used to them. Taking them out makes it worse when you put them in again.
