I currently am taking birth control and antidepressant medication. Lately I have been experiencing real bad symptoms. I have headaches at the same time everyday, I feel so nauseous, I eat 24/7, have to drink a lot of fluids, and I use the bathroom a lot. All this started about a week ago.

well never been on anti depressant even though i should but when i was preg i never got morning sicknesss i went to the bathroom ALOT but its more of your breasts changing if its your first pregnancy.

I’m a 17-year-old 5’4″ female and I recently lost over 30 pounds in a period of 8 months on the Jenny Craig diet. I was advised by my consultant at the center to restrict my caloric intake to 1200 a day. I followed the menu as religiously as possible but often felt extremely hungry and fatigued, stopped having my period, got brittle nails, and to make matters worse, my body eventually went into starvation mode. As it turned out, I was eating 1300 calories below my caloric maintenance level. Top that off with the fact that I exercise 3 times a week, and, according to my pedometer, I burn over 1000 calories due taking more than 20000 steps a day…oh, my goodness. When I asked my consultant to put me on 1700 calories, she refused to and quickly explained that some of her other clients who are “marathon runners” only need 1500. So, I decided to tough it out for 1 more week and ended up gaining a pound. Her response? “Um, yeah…I don’t know what’s going on.” It was right then and there I decided it would be best for me to just give my body a break, a chance to recover.
So, it has been 10 days since Jenny Craig and I parted ways. The first 3 days of eating on my own were absolutely fantastic. I even lost 0.8lbs! It all started going downhill on the 4th day, thanks to my stomach’s growling and feeling empty every 60 to 90 minutes. Ever since then, I have been binge eating on various fruits such as grapes and watermelon, wholegrain high fiber granola cereal (with and without Omega-3), oatmeal, flax sprouted grain bread, and fat free soy beverage. Absolutely no fast food. None. No MacDonald’s, KFC, Burger Baron, Subway, nothing. Anyway, I have gone from 129.9lbs to 138. Mind you, I have intestinal gas and abdominal bloating, and I’ve been expelling a lot of waste. So, is it really possible to gain between 8 to 10 pounds of fat in 1 week from binge eating? Is this my body’s way of trying to achieve some kind of balance?
I’m hourglass-shaped as well, Suga…and I actually read that women with this body type tend to specifically gain weight a lot faster than other body types. Oh, the curse of the curves!
Water retention? Will drinking more water help eliminate it? I already drink a significant amount. I’ll definitely take the glycemic index into consideration.

it is possible that your body is trying to get to it’s natural weight. You should try a cleanse nothing harsh just something to get the toxins out of your body maybe that will help

Question : How can I get affordable diabetic supplies and insulin as an American ex-pat living in Germany?
I am 26 and I have Type 1 diabetes. I am not a student, I am not married, and I am a musician, so I do not have the advantage of steady work. I have health insurance in the states, but it does not work in Europe. Due to German laws reagarding work permits, I had to buy cheap European health insurance that does not cover pre-existing conditions (aka diabetes). Currently I am busing supplies and insulin in the states and having it shipped here, but that is very expensive. Any suggestions and/or advice is welcomed! Please help!

U really have to find a health insurace in Germany. When you do not have it will be also the same price to got without healt insurance to the doctor (once somebody looked my teeth, and after she said that it coast 34 euro… and she did not do with anything just looked around and I had an insurance!!!!). I think after every visit you have to pay 10 euros, and keep everything (invoice and others) and send to the agency where you have your insurance. But that is not sure. I made it so, but I think every agency has differet methods.

Last november, my girlfriend at the time became pregnant. We decided upon the route of a medicated abortion, and it went successfully. As of recently she had taken the emergency contraception plan “B” (next choice version). She suffered severe cramping, nausea, and fatigue, resulting in a visit to the hospital where they informed her it was normal. However they ran precautionary tests, including a pap smear. The next day, she received a call back, informing her it was necessary for her to return to the hospital. The doctors discovered after a pelvic exam, vaginal scarring had been found around her cervix. Such scarring as explained to the doctors can lead to difficulty conceiving or to infertility.
Now after that obligatory introduction, I present my predicament, I have found no circumstances where medicated abortions or the emergency contraception plan “b” medication has caused infertility or even scarring. However I do know she visited rehab when suffering with bulimia. This is the only connection I can find that links her to infertility. I understand that a person who once was bulimic may still suffer the effects of that, but just for how long? What are those side effects? I only ask because she is difficult to trust, which is why I haven’t chosen to pursue a relationship with her. I do know, only until recently, she had spitefully lied about an abortion in a past relationship with someone else. I am worried about her, the possibility of her infertility. and if this is all just fictional due to her habit of self induced abuse. More often than not she exhibits self destructive behavior. I suppose I have more than one question needfully answered.
I will highly appreciate any input, except anything backed by a religious or political perception.

Bulimia causes a host of problems that do not clear up once she is no longer bulimic and there is a problem that she so damaged herself while bulimic that she could have a hormonal infertility, but more tests would need to be run to consider that approach.

I thought I would want to be a Nurse’s Technician, but I don’t really want to deal with vomit or stool. This has come out of the blue. I’m 30 and thought I wanted to be a teacher. I know there are many different types of techs. Is one more in demand than others? Is one easier? Any information would be appreciated. I know nothing about the medical field.

If you’re referring to a laboratory technician, it requires a BA in Laboratory Science. You run the machines – but there will be plenty of time you will draw the blood yourself from the patients (young as babies, too).
Not just blood. Stool, sperm, and urine, as well.
