Question : Is there anyway to buy contact lenses online withouth having to have an eye exam within two years?
My last eye exam was about 3 to 4 years ago and I am a college student and can not afford much right now. I was hoping there was a short cut to buy contacts online without having to have it “verified” by a doctor??

well if you like your current prescription, then you can buy them online at a contact store like 1-800-contacts…

I would hope that would be impossible. Your eyes have changed since your last eye exam. The prescription you had then might not be sufficient for you anymore. You might be doing more damage then good buy using an old prescription. That’s why those rules are in place…..to protect you against yourself.

No, you cannot. Even ordering online, they will ask for you doctor name and number. They will verify with the office before placing the order. The law states that prescriptions are valid for 2 years only, for a reason. Eyes change, and for overall health, you should see the doctor yearly.
