In the Australian state of Queensland, surrogacy has been legalized but some groups feel that it is bad thing to let single people and gays/lesbians to use surrogacy because they feel that it denies children the right to a mother and father. They even claim it is similar to the Stolen Generation where Aboriginal children with white blood were taken from their families to be assimilated into white culture and lost connection with their families, and therefore their culture and identities.

using a surrogate means they have agreed to giving birth to a child for someone else. this is NOT the same as stealing someone else’s child for the purposes of assimilation.
