Interested in signing up for the Medical Assistant Program?
Question : Interested in signing up for the Medical Assistant Program?
I am going Monday to sign up for the Medical Assistant Program. I am just wondering if anyone would be willing to share their thoughts on it. Maybe other people working as a Medical Assistant. I am curious to know if you are happy with the pay, the duties, etc? Was it worth it? I am very interested in working with infants. Thanks everyone!

Well congrats on getting into something that’s going to offer you great job security. The medical field will always be in high demand, and depending on where you end up working, the pay can be really good. I think what you’ll be doing is well worth it, and you’re going to find yourself satisfied with your life.
The medical field is so vast in itself that I’m finding it very difficult as to what I want to specialize in once I get my Masters in nursing, but I’ve narrowed it down to three: A nurse anesthetist (the nurse who administers anesthesia and monitors patients in surgery), to work in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), or a wound nurse- those who assist in treating wounds that won’t heal in diabetics and other ailments.
I’m not working as a medical assistant, but I’ve heard of the duties..and the list is long. When you sign up for the school maybe ask for a brochure on the field or do your own research on the internet. But I will warn you, the classes are very difficult depending on the school. I had a friend go through medical assistant training, and she went through a lot of frustration and struggles just to pass the course. But everyone is different and maybe you’ll breeze right through it. I also think with you wanting to work with infants is so wonderful..you must love those little ones
I want to wish you the best, and I really hope you enjoy the program. I think you’re doing something wonderful. The medical field in itself is very rewarding. Good luck
