Question : I was diagnosed with having fetal demise at 6 weeks pregnant, should I go to an abortion clinic?
The fetus has been deceased for over two weeks & still no signs of miscarriage is happening!!! My doctor is giving me the run around with a D&C so I figured Id go to an abortion clinic! Is this a good idea?
I went to the emergency room they told me to follow up with my doctor and they told me a D&C is exactly the same as an abortion procedure except ur removing a dead fetus instead of a live one!!
Im getting the run around cause my doc doesnt do prenatal care so he has to go through a process of reffering me to an OB then having them make that call but its sooooo stressful & emotionally tough

wow, i’m so sorry to hear that. i can’t believe he’s giving you the run around about a d&c… that’s crazy. maybe he’s trying to wait and see if you’ll miscarry naturally but i don’t think that will happen if it’s been over two weeks. maybe you should see another doctor before going to a clinic. if you do go to a clinic get hooked up with some counseling. i know they offer that at the clinic in my area. miscarriages are ruff i’ve had one and i def should have got some help. i’m still having a hard with it. its getting worse now that my due date is approaching. it doesn’t help that all my friends and my sister are pregnant. so i know how you feel. i’m really sorry you have to go through this

well, a d and c is exactly the same procedure as an abortion, so that would definitely solve your problem. but i would first try and get your doctor to explain the runaround and tell him you just want to go ahead and go to the clinic,. i think it is awful he would just leave you hanging like this. when this is all over i would suggest you get a different doctor

Im so sorry to hear about your loss and your dr is giving you a run around. perhaps you could just go to the er and have it done if he/she isnt going to do it.
I have a friend that had her baby die around 6wks and didnt end up finding out or passing it until she was 12wks. so going natural could take a while, it just depends on when your body catches the signals.

if your doctor referred you to an OB, then call that person and schedule a D&C. the longer you wait, the more likely it is that you will get an infection.
