Question : How to get out of treatment for anorexia early?
How can I convince my psychiatrist to let me out of recovery early for anorexia?
Besides gaining weight. I mean geting out without having to reach “target weight” and such.
Ok, well, more or less not have to come in once a month for check ins for who-knows-how-long (when I get to that point) at least

Aww I’m sorry you have anorexia
Have you talked to your parents about stopping your visits to the physchiatrist?? If they think you’re getting better, they could have a word with your him/her about stopping
Especially if you feel you are not getting anything from your appointments.
I was nearly there and then I relapsed :/
But please don’t stop going if you’re not going to keep up with eating and have a healthy relationship with food Because that is the worst thing that could happen :/
And you need to be fit and healthy Anorexia is the really horrible and destroys peoples lives – you need to get better!

If your serious about treatment, than there is no early release from treatment. reaching a target weight is reaching normal healthy weight zone for someone your age, height and bone structure. there is no way around this.
I was anorexic as a child, in fact for about 13 years. I have been in recovery for 6 years now. The thoughts always stay with you, and this is something psychiatrists know. Therefore, i dont think there is anything you can do this early on to try to convince your physchiatrist that your ready.I do hope for your own sake that you want to get better… all anorexia is is a very slow and painful suicide. Ive been there, and been through all its after effects so trust me.

I am so sorry to hear about your anorexia.
During my high school years, I suffered from anorexia.
Sweetie, you need to eat correctly otherwise you won’t be here.
I’ve lost close people to eating disorders, and you’re a beautiful person.
Don’t try and figure out a way to get out of treatment.
I’m pretty sure your psychiatrist has had these cases before, having people wanting to go.
So I’m pretty sure him/her wouldn’t let you out early unless you have improved and you’re a healthy eater, sorry sweetie.
Just remember, the more healthy you eat, the closer you are to getting out.

my friend and I both were in treatment together when we left i went back to therapy twice a week and work really hard she only went every two weeks and didn’t try…I know she gonna die and i couldn’t bare this so i broke our friendship apart and that was the hardest thing ive every done but i had to she was dragging me down into my old ways and i honestly have to take care of my self before i can help her because i already almost died from this im not gonna let myself get to that..and i asked another survior i meet and she said it took her two years but than it was another six years
