Question : How often are truck drivers subject to drug testing?
How frequently are there random ua’s or other types of drug testing in the trucking profession? Are drug tests random @ weigh stations? Are most tests given as a new hire thing with DOT physical ? Can DOT demand a test whenever they want, or in accident situation?

Just like any other job upon hire. If they have a random testing you agree too when hired. DOT has to have a reason to preform a drug test when your on the road accident or field sobrity test. You have the same rights as anyone else except your Blood alcohol content can not be over .04

Yes, DOT can demand a test whenever, or in an accident situation you can pretty much count on it.
Random testing is at the whim of the employer, but you can usually count on it for once a month – often enough to pick up residues, which can stay in your system for up to six weeks.
