Schedule all diagnostic tests, referrals to Other doctors, surgery scheduling, scheduling Equipment reps for surgery. Responsible for all X-rays and MRI films and reviewing them with the doctor. depends.. did you go to school.. what is your degree?
It really depends on your area..what the market “allows” for such jobs in your specific area…and the job market itself in your area..are there a lot of jobs for non-degreed personel? (I don’t have a degree either)…
You are really doing the job of five or six people if this is a busy office..most Dr’s will have one person for check-in-out, one for dictation, one for patient assistance (like suture removal), etc. etc…
I would research jobs in your specific area..either though the newspaper want-ads, or job-boards on-line, call some temp-agencies to see what the rate for someone like you would be-to see what the going rate is..if you are really good at what you do, and have made yourself invaluable to the Dr, then you obviously should be making more than the “standard” for your area..
If your proficient in all those areas, I would say whatever you’re being paid most likely is not enough!
