Question : How dentists pick the adequate colour of porcelain teeth for a patient?Need a web-page or you tell me if know.
When I say colour I mean the adequate shade of the white color. Thank you in advance.

They have a shade guide that have different shades on them. They write it down when it is sent to the lab that makes the crown. They match the shade guide to your other teeth.
They use a shade guide – this will be more or less advanced depending on the dental practice. The basic way is to get the patient standing beside a natural light source (ie near a window, and not under a dental light), and compare their tooth colour with samples on a guide: something like this

They then note the shade and record it, asking the laboratory to match it. They can also record other features to make it more accurate – like different shades for the top and bottom part of the tooth.
There are more advanced methods now, using computers and colorimeters and so on.
