Have you had laser skin resurfacing?
Question : Have you had laser skin resurfacing?
I’m in my late 20′s and thinking about laser skin resurfacing because I’m getting “crows feet” and wrinkles under my eyes. I don’t smoke and stay out of the sun, so getting these at an early age is depressing. I’ve tried a couple of over the counter creams, but nothing seems to work (suggestions?).
Hints, tips or stories of your laser skin resurfacing would be nice.

YES! I had a fractional C02 laser done about 2 weeks ago, and i can say that it has done a lot for my skin. it has really erased a lot of the sun damage and neglect i’ve put my skin through over the years. I didn’t start with the laser, tho. I kind of worked my way toward it after completing a 3 month Obagi regimen which also helped a lot. But I was using Retinol as part of that program and it burned and peeled a lot – it got to be more inconvenient than anything..always looking flaky and red. I decided on doing the laser to be red and flaky for a short time and be done with it for a while. find someone that really knows their craft tho – i wanted a dermatologist with a laser specialist on staff, and i couldn’t have been happier with that choice. lasers are powerful and amazing machines that can produce some terrific results, but of course they should be under the guidance of only the most skilled hands. you don’t want a “does everything” kind of doctor. if they do everything, it’s hard to believe they can do all things equally well. was it painful? well -yeah i won’t lie to u. think of the worst sunburn you’ve ever had – to the tenth power, i was so uncomfortable the first 2 nights, i didn’t get much sleep. i looked like i had gone to a welder for a facial. my face burned and oozed gross yellow pus, and i had to do vinegar and water soaks about 3 times a day, and keep my face slicked with vaseline because it burned to put anything else on it..but..now a few weeks after, there is pink, new skin and it looks like a baby’s butt. i will be pink for maybe a few more weeks, but makeup covers it very well. if u can afford it, do it. i don’t think u will regret it. the Obagi nu-derm system might really help you as a starting point – it was great for me. but, you must see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon for it. you dont want to be ordering that stuff online because only a skin doc can assess your face and determine what will yield the best results. good luck to you!
