has anyone here gone into treatment at a center for eating disorders?
Question : has anyone here gone into treatment at a center for eating disorders?
i would like to write a book about a girl with anorexia and bulimia, and i would like to include a section in the book of where she recieves treatment at a center that specializes in treating eating-disordered victims. i have read a book or two and watched a movie but would also like for anyone here to share their own experiences with getting help (specifically at a center, or hospital of somesort) the more detailed the description of the experience is, the better…
i already know how i’m gonna write the rest. i myself am bulimic and ever so slowly getting help, but not through a center.
and finally, would “the perfect liar” or “beautiful liar” sound better for a title? thanks ![]()

I don’t know about treatment, but I prefer Beautiful Liar.
I do, however, know what it’s like in treatment for drugs. My brother went through it, so if you think that might help just ask. It’s basically the same where he went, it’s a treatment center for behavior, drugs and alcohol, eating disorders, and mental disorders.
i like perfect liar… cuz u know that’s the goal anyone with an e/d has, to be perfect. i went to a rehab where we had drugs, depression, eating disorders, too, and it was exactly as described by nicole… such a waste of time. you’re basically paying money to be treated like a prisoner. besides treating physical withdrawal, i think the whole idea of a rehab is wack… that you’re too weak to do anything about your problem yourself, so u have to surrender to them & have them take care of you. it rarely works cuz if you really wanna quit a self-destructive behavior, it has to come from within. so, make sure to include a relapse at the end…
