The founder and director of the Intact America, an organization that campaigned to the way America thinks about the circumcision of men must change, today demanded that the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Centers recognize for Disease Control? s recent report shows, the rate of circumcision in the U.S. only 33% in 2009 and refuse to support the genital mutilation of children.

The AAP, the first in San Francisco October â fulfilled? 5, for its annual conference, is currently reviewing its position on neonatal circumcision is planned and its Working Group on circumcision to publish new recommendations in the coming months. â? Now is left intact with more than 60 percent of baby boys, and more and more Americans are not able to afford the necessary medical care, we can not understand how the AAP could be used for this operation generally useless â? Georganne Chapin, said Executive Director of America Intact.

Intact America will meet at the AAP conference with representatives of the AAP and remember that most American parents are currently choosing to keep her son unharmed. Intact America? S-state, physicians, information on ethical considerations and the medical risks associated with the circumcision of the child, and to obtain even the most frequently performed operation in the United States.

â? The shift in this country, â? Chapin said. â? Parents are increasingly aware that circumcision is unethical and wrong. Itâ? S America time? S reached pediatricians these “too.I ????

earlier this year suggested the AAPA Intact America? Call for a form of female genital mutilation legalized in women, a practice currently banned in this country and internationally recognized as female genital mutilation in the context of the oppression of girls and women. After thousands of protest e-mails delivered to the AAPA? S office with a campaign on the website Intact America, PAA has backed down and withdrew her statement.

Intact America believes that the same right to an intact body, which should present the girls and boys will be extended. No medical authority recognized currently recommends routine neonatal circumcision men, known as the American Medical Association? Non-therapeutic.

The American Academy of Pediatrics has created a task force on circumcision, which is currently being formed to consider the AAPA? s neutral position newborn circumcision. The work force? The charge was apparently under the African Studies consenting adult men allegedly shown that circumcision play a role in transmission of HIV from women to men mitigation â? but not in men, women or men for men (the latter being always the most common procedure for the sexual transmission of HIV in the U.S.). Chapin noted that these studies are many methodological and ethical problems. â? Even if the results apply to adults in poor countries, where HIV prevalence is high, there is no evidence that circumcision of infants do not agree to the United States, where the rate of HIV infection is relatively low and the transmission different, for HIV to prevent â? Chapin said.
