Known as the father of IVF, Dr. Edwards, a biologist, and his colleague Patrick Steptoe, a doctor who died in 1988, for the development of in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures for the treatment of human infertility known .

, founding director of the Genesis Fertility Centre and research pioneer, has a friend and colleague of Dr. Edwards over 30 years.

Dr. Yuzpe remembers how the process changed in the 32 years since the birth of Louise Brown.

Dr. Al Yuzpe
is co-founder and co-director of the Genesis Fertility Centre. He received his MD, MSc. and completed his residency in gynecology and obstetrics at the University of Western Ontario. He then joined the Medical Faculty, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where he served as professor until his retirement in 1995. He was a fellow of the Medical Research Council of Canada for two years, his research on the development and improvement of fertility drug paraphernalia, including clomiphene citrate and human menopausal gonadotropin.
Since its opening in 1995, Genesis has become one of the largest IVF clinics in Canada providing a full range of assisted reproductive technologies including IUI, IVF, ICSI, PGD, will donate the surgical extraction of sperm, ova and sperm.
