Question : Eating disorder inpatient treatment centres in Australia?
the treatment would be for me, i’m a 16 yr old girl.
my mother has been considering putting me into IP treatment for a while now and she’s still looking for a good place.
i’ve had various eating disorders over the last half decade including compulsive overeating, compulsive over exercising, ED not otherwise specified and anorexia and they’ve all taken a toll on my life.
cost and location and duration aren’t much of an issue, just as long as it’s in Australia, and if possible close to Sydney.

if you do know of a place could you tell me where it is, approx. how much it costs and the approximate duration of treatment (i understand that to recover, duration shouldn’t matter)

thanks so much

Westmead Hospital in Sydney. Those guys are great. My daughter was in there twice over a 2 year period for anorexia and they are fantastic. Their outpatient support is brilliant also.
Best of all, being a public hospital it’s free under medicare.
