Question : Does tanning affect breast augmentations or implants?
I had a breast augmentation last June and I just started tanning again for the first time since before my surgery. I have noticed that my chest and breasts seem to get redder and more irritated from the tanning beds than the rest of my body. I know that tanning at all is not good for my skin or body, but that is not my question.
Essentially, I am wondering if tanning is negatively affecting my implants?

I’d definately check that out with my doctor if I were you. If you tan in a tanning bed mayber it’s that they’re closer to the bulbs? But I’d still ask my doctor just in case.
Tanning wont affect your implants. Your breasts/chest is getting redder and more irritated because of the implants themselves. If you breasts were small before the surgery and you got medium to large implants your skin had to stretch alot to accommodate them which makes the skin on your breasts thinner. Thinner skin gets burned quicker/more easily.
I know you know tanning beds are bad for you..but my husband used to use tanning beds and three years later he has 100s of moles. Tanning causes moles which wil most likely pop up all over your new breasts! Don’t ruin them!
