Diabetes diet and exercise to lose fat
Back
March 2005, published the results of the Diabetes Prevention Program of the American Diabetes Association. This study was conducted nationwide in 25 medical centers and monitoring of thousands of potential diabetics who received a diet low in fat loss and diabetic exercise plan. Everyone in the study group was pre-diabetic, meaning they have had all suffered from high levels of sugar in the blood higher than normal but not in the diabetic range. Half of all people with pre-diabetes will eventually develop type 2 diabetes if left untreated.
There were two groups of people, this study. Half of the participants had only meet nutritional recommendations. The other half received the same diet, but were also asked to exercise 5 times per week for at least 30 minutes per day.
The results of this study were unexpected. This pre-diabetics who had to follow along the diabetic diet by 58% reduces the risk of disease from diabetes. The reason was simple: they have weight, because these changes are lost in the lifestyle. The researchers found that exercise and weight loss has the immediate effect of lowering blood sugar to normal, which was not considered possible.
It is believed that weight loss for those who have pre-diabetes can prevent the onset of diabetes, but it also helps repair the damage, the insulin-producing cells caused by obesity. Depending on how you weigh, it was found that the loss to 5% to 7% of body weight make a difference.
The key to this plan is to provide healthy foods to lose with pre-diabetes, weight but also keep the weight off by eating. The American Diabetes Association recommends a daily diet that includes the following
* Grain -. 6-11 servings per day (bread, cereal, rice, pasta)
* Vegetables – 3-5 servings per day
* Fruits – 2-4 servings per day * milk
– 2 – 3 servings per day
* Meat – 4-6 ounces per day (meat, eggs, fish, dried beans, nuts and peanut butter) *
fats, sweets, alcohol – occasional treats
This is not only recommended diet for diabetics, but it is also approved by the American Heart Association to fight the risk of heart disease. This underlines the importance of healthy nutrition and diet for fat loss diabetes and exercise.
