Chemotherapy side effects( Please answer in detail at the molecular level if possible)?
Question : Chemotherapy side effects( Please answer in detail at the molecular level if possible)?
This is an assignment that I was given in grade 12 Biology last week I’ve done some research of my own but found very basic and general knowledge.. Please help, and describe how chemotherapy drugs affect the different body systems at the molecular level.
QUESTION:
Chemotherapy work by destroying cancer cells. An unfortunate side effect is that normal, healthy cells are destroyed as well. Research some common side effects of chemotherapy drugs, and explain how these drugs affect homeostasis in the various body systems ( blood cell development, the nervous system, the endocrine system, and the excretory system.)
Please don;t give me a general answer because all the research I’ve done has been very general and basic. A detailed answer would be greatly appreciated! thanks for your help!

You might want to take this one over to Science and Mathematics > Medicine. Some docs hang out there regularly.
Mostly just people with cancer cures and rubber-neckers here.
I am a cancer chemotherapy specialist doctor
– medical oncologist with 20 years experience.
What you ask would require an entire textbook.
There are more than 100 drugs listed under the umbrella term “chemotherapy.”
Each have different molecular structures.
Each have different effects at the cellular molecular level.
You must chose a chemotherapy drug to get specific information.
If you do searches for “chemotherapy,” you will only get general information.
Choose a drug and research that. Taxol is a good one.
