Hey.. I am not sure if you saw this on my comments but it struck a cord with me and maybe it will help you too.. It came from rockybarragan (she is so sweet and has some really great recipes) she said “my motto is now “don’t think about your last meal. think about your next.” it’s what you decide to do after that piece of pizza that matters.”

You gained a lot of insight with the binging — you learned that you may not dump, you learned that you need to focus on your plan, and that it’s easy to return to preop eating. It’s a whole new lifestyle, but you’re still the same person. I think that’s what we all need to remember. Those things that “got us” before can still “get us” postop.

A few suggestions, hopefully they’re helpful. My therapist has recommended I start to journal when I want to binge.I haven’t started yet, but I’m going to.Another youtuber recommended two books to me.Binge No More by Joyce Nash, I read some of it months ago, it was ok, maybe it will help you.I’m including the next title in case any women are reading your comments,Eating in the Light of the Moon-looks at disordered eating from woman’s perspective.Good luck and as you said, you won’t fail.

thank you for sharing with us.. i use to be a binge eater but luckily for me, I haven’t been able to post op.. my tummy is too sensitive… its good to be aware and find ways around it. Right now is when we have to deal with the mental health while our tool takes care of our physical health.
good luck!
