Question : Are there overeating treatments/groups that don’t deal with god or religion?
I think I have an overeating problem – I’ve tried to work through it myself and it hasn’t worked. I’ve gone to 2 shrinks and not liked either one, I went to an OA meeting and since I don’t believe in god felt that I didn’t fit in. – How do I find a good shrink or is there a support group that isn’t tied to religion?

maybe god is the one thing you havent tried yet. why not try him? it cant hurt.

Check with your health plan if you have insurance. Many health clinics offer support groups through their mental health departments, and these are not affiliated with any religion whatsoever. Give it a shot, even if you don’t have insurance, because many health clinics will welcome you if you are still able to pay, and they may not charge that much since it is a group thing. Good luck.
