Question : Are there ever any sales or discounts on eye exams for contact lenses?
I’m referring to the cost of the exam itself, not contacts.

My eye doctor charges the same price for exam for contacts and glasses. He is the only one in my town that does this.

I don’t know where you are, but many places such as Lens Crafters offer a great deal (a coupon entitles the bearer to certain kinds and styles of glasses and the eye exam). So much is discounted for the total package. Also, a company that offers eye discounts ( I don’t know if there is a discount on exams but, if you’re interested, when you call, you can ask them): Peoples Prescription Plan 1.800.667.6917 M-F 9am.-6pm (Eastern Time).
