Question : Are there any on-going medical researches involved in finding causes of stillbirths?
My wife and I recently lost our son from still birth. We’ve been informed stillbirths occur in 1 out every 250 births (not sure if its US or global), which is very alarming and I’m sure its not a commonly know facts, for obvious reasons. I’m curious to know if there is any research to this and other causes of infant loss such as SIDS.

I’m sorry for your loss; I’m sure you feel very devistated at this time. The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development has on-going research in this field. Their statistics state 1 in 200 births in the US. Thier website is: http://www.nichd.nih.gov/womenshealth/research/pregbirth/miscarriage_stillbirth.cfm
