Question : Any organizations dedicated to lending wheelchair accessible vans to people with ALS? aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease
We can’t afford a $ 25,000 van that will more than likely be in used for the next 1-3 years. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure if this will help or not, but there is a Wheelchair Foundation group in the Blackhawk area of Danville, California right next to the auto museum. It is a VERY affluent area. Maybe get in touch with them and see if they can help or at least direct you to someone who might be able to assist.
PLEASE contact the ALS Association at http://www.als.org. Look for a chapter in your area. Most chapters have a loan program for wheelchairs, medical equipment, and augmentative communication devices. Some chapters even have vans that are donated to them. Good luck. In your area there may be some public transportation for people with disabilities. Another option is to rent a conversion van when you need it.
