Would a fertility clinic think it was strange if my fiance and I went to them before we are married?
Question : Would a fertility clinic think it was strange if my fiance and I went to them before we are married?
My fiance and I are getting married in June of 2009 and we know he has fertility problems. We’d like to start having kids almost right away once we’re married and we know it will take awhile to figure out the best method (and surgery may be involved), so I’d like to start exploring our options with fertility clinics before we are even married. Would it be odd for a couple who is not yet married to start going to a fertility clinic? We wouldn’t be trying to actually conceive until after marriage.

Doubtful, but possible…they’re just people, and unless you’re in the bible belt, they probably won’t care.
It shouldnt matter what the fertility clinic thinks of you its none of their business why you are in there! Even if they find something wrong with you or your fiance – its still a problem regardless of if youre married or not.
Its not their place to judge people. I doubt they’ll turn you away if youre a paying customer!
