Question : Will a paramedic recognize a medical alert bracelet if it had beads or charms on the band?
There are some I can buy online, they have a medical plate with the medical star symbol on it, but the bands are either a cord or has beads on it.

As long as the beads dont over shadow the medical star symbol you should be fine. Those on the website look tastefully done so i think you would be fine.
