Yes it disgusts me and he doesn’t support The Baby Born Alive Act either. He will not be getting my vote. Just one of many reason why I will never vote for him.

He has *never* supported partial birth abortion. He voted against a bill in Ill. that was *not* identical to the federal bill.
Here is what he said about the supreme court ruling:
“I strongly disagree with today’s Supreme Court ruling, which dramatically departs from previous precedents safeguarding the health of pregnant women. As Justice Ginsburg emphasized in her dissenting opinion, this ruling signals an alarming willingness on the part of the conservative majority to disregard its prior rulings respecting a woman’s medical concerns and the very personal decisions between a doctor and patient. I am extremely concerned that this ruling will embolden state legislatures to enact further measures to restrict a woman’s right to choose, and that the conservative Supreme Court justices will look for other opportunities to erode Roe v. Wade, which is established federal law and a matter of equal rights for women.” -

The legislation in question threatened the standing abortion laws in the state, while others were bundled with other provisions that created liability for doctors, designed to intimidate doctors and make it more difficult to perform legal procedures. So Barack Obama opposed it for that reason, not because of any result on babies born alive.
The legislation was designed to be a “wedge” legislation that would have no effect on medical procedures, designed just for these sorts of attacks. The Illinois legislature, after Barack Obama left to take his US Senate seat, passed a law that explicitly said it wouldn’t affect existing Illinois law on choice. Barack Obama has said he would’ve supported that law.
When a group does this, they put one horrible provision (the “infanticide”) part of the bill and package it with a bunch of other provisions that assault a woman’s right to choose. Then, when someone votes against the bill to protect that right, they say the vote was over the “infanticide.”
Stop telling lies.

he does not support abortion. He supports free choice for women because it is the law. Read further and you’ll learn why he really voted that way. It was because the wording was such that if he didn’t vote for it, abortion rights would have been endangered. And like I said, it’s law. By the way it passed 95-0.

Of course. If you knew that a candidate was going around telling women to kill their babies in a painful way if they couldn’t afford them, or they were getting in their way somehow, would you vote for that candidate? Of course not. Well, the babies in the womb are just as vulnerable. They are babies. Obama is supporting killing them in a painful way. He just wants votes from women. He is a cold and evil or ignorant person. McCain has a heart.
