Question : Which is a better qualification: minor in Nutrition, or NESTA (or other) certification in nutrition coaching?
The minor will cost thousands more, but may be a better credential to have if I want to be a trainer or fitness/nutrition consultant down the road. What do you think? Which would you rather see in a trainer you are thinking of hiring?
nutrition consultant certification

For the nutritionist: at the very least a BSc, but even better a MSc in nutrition, with some kind of specialization.

For the trainer: at the very least a BSc in athletic training and/or physical therapy.
