When people get plastic surgery, do their kids get the traits they had before or after the surgery?
Question : When people get plastic surgery, do their kids get the traits they had before or after the surgery?
Like if I had plastic surgery and then I had a child, would that child get the traits I have now? Or the traits I had before the plastic surgery?
by the way, i am not getting plastic surgery. I am highly against it…. But my friend was curious about this.

Before. The traits you get from plastic surgery are NOT genetic and so they won’t be passed on to your children.

The traits you pass on to your children are based on your DNA. When you get plastic surgery you are not changing your DNA, so really your traits before and after your surgery don’t change.Trait is a term in the field of genetics that refers a specific allele that causes a specific property. Rather you “mask” them. Your children will receive your traits, they would just not be “masked”. But if you intended the mean trait as in physical appearance, then the answer to your question would be that they would receive your traits from before your surgery. I see nothing wrong with plastic surgery and am not trying to insult you when I use the term mask.

Surgery does not remove genetics. So, if you were born with a big nose or big poppy eyes and you got surgery to fix that, your child could still have a big nose and poppy eyes.
If you developed tiny breasts and got implants, most certainly your daughter can inherit that.
