Mesker Door (http://www.meskerdoor.com), a pioneer in the manufacture of hollow metal doors and frames, was recognized this week for further efforts in environmental security and combating air pollution.

The city of Huntsville, Alabama, where Mesker Door is located, presented the company with the price reduction of air pollution control performance, reduce emissions. This is the fourth time, the city the company was recognized with the award.

in 2009 replaced Mesker spray booths and equipment for the paint on the surface coating system of the door. The move improved spray control, whereby the particles in the air and reduces the use of color.

Mesker also changed paints, solvents, coatings based on water, reducing emissions of volatile organic compounds and hazardous air pollutants by more than 50 percent.

Annual Report Air Pollution Control Achievement Awards Program was established in 1997 to recognize voluntary efforts to reduce emissions of air pollutants from industrial plants to reduce institutional and commercial city.
