Question : Questions on proper treatment for anorexia?
I have a friend who is in treatment who is being given so much drugs, that she seems like a zombie. Her family is being prevented from seeing her too often. Is this normal treatment? What do you look for in a quality facility for treatment? The friend has suffered from this before.

I also suffered from anorexia and i can say that i have never been given so many drugs that i was zombi-like! i was put on an antidepressant but that is all they gave to me. her family should be able to see her! family is a key part in treatment.

at my treatment facility, there was always people to talk to and watch out for you. yes, they supervised you like MAD and pushed you, but in the end it was all worth it. i am so happy that you are looking out for your friend. understand that anorexia is so hard to get through, and you need to support her along the way, which it looks like you are!
