Proscar and Propecia are effective drugs for prostate enlargement and hair loss.

Proscar and Propecia are similar drugs – generic name is finasteride.

Finasteride prevents the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. DHT is the development of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and hair loss involved.
