if you don’t smoke, you won’t get as sick as often which reduces the amount of money being spent on medical bills, both for the smoker and anyone who he/she infects with their second hand smoke…
Therefore, since the grand idea of our new government leaders is to make healthcare governmentally run, there will be less money being spent on the government healthcare because there will be fewer people getting sick from the smoke.

You could almost say the same thing about the millions to research climate change. How does that result in good jobs for the “failing” middle class? Not sure. It does further the global warming agenda, though.
I do find that the benefits of fewer smokers won’t be felt for years, and by then they’ll perhaps be suffering from smoking-related illnesses and the benefit may very well cancel itself out. - Comment Feed for this Post
Live people who are not sick buy more and make more money than dead and sick people. But it would be better to just tax the cigarettes at about 15 per pack.
