Ladies, since they have never shown an abortion procedure on TV?
Question : Ladies, since they have never shown an abortion procedure on TV?
Yet, have shown every other type of operation. Is it due to the lack of women allowing the procedure to be performed, personally?
If so, how much money would it take before you allowed the operation to be filmed?
This is a legit question. Why won’t they show an abortion procedure on TV.
Please answer both questions if possible.
Men, please add your input also.
Professor, I thought you were smarter than that. They can film and image every part of your body.

I think the public outcry would be too much for any network television station to want to even try.
No amount of money would make me allow the filming of my operation.
No matter how simple or complex it may be.
They show one on youtube, it’s called the silent scream..it’s from the 70′s..but it shows an ultrasound of a woman during the abortion.
Pretty graphic stuff.

I think women would not allow it to be filmed because they don’t want everyone knowing what they are doing. I hope noone ever decides to offer a woman money so they can film the murder of her unborn child. But it would not be a bad idea to film it, maybe after seeing an abortion it would convince a few women that it is a bad idea.

I’m sure you’d be singing a different tune if you got a woman pregnant and you didn’t want to support the child. So many men are like this, they are against abortion until abortion becomes useful to them and their wallet.
Don’t give me that. You ask a loaded question directed at women, you could have asked this question without saying “ladies”. Women are baby killers until you get someone knocked up at an inconvenient time. A lot of men are hypocrites. More men are pro-choice than women are. Look at polls and surveys, men support a “woman’s right to choose” more than women do. Perhaps because abortion is useful to them. Abortion is a method of birth control (and now also eugenics), but don’t act like it’s only women who have any incentive to support abortion.

Honestly, if I went to have an abortion and I was asked to have it filmed (my identity concealed, of course) for educational purposes, I might be willing. I would not need to be paid. And women have agreed to allow the procedure to be filmed. Most anti-abortion groups have these videos (look up Silent Scream). I believe they have never been shown on TV for the simple reason that abortion is so controversial. No network would ever want to take on the law suits that would result from showing such videos.

I truly doubt that women would have had any effect on whether abortion is shown on television or not. All parts of women’s bodies are paraded before the world in various states.
I suspect that it is probably a legal nightmare to do so, so many countries have no concrete laws in place against or for abortion.

Did you get your name off a hair dryer?
There are many reasons for abortion, not just because someone wants to “KILL A HUMAN!” If the mothers life is in danger, if she was raped, if the baby has many medical conditions. You talk about it as if it is just a black and white issue; but it is a very grey area
How anyone can watch those reality shows is beyond me, but then again. Idiots fliped the b!tch on evolution.
Edit: Rissa get out of the twilight zone and switch back on to reality. Know anything about science or just what your holy bible tells you; in your “land of the drones?”
Edit: Murder?? Know it all! Americans are backward, that wont mean much; but seeing this bull from a different Country. You’re all insane.

perhaps it’s because of the amount of strong opposition against it?
maybe because there’s a lot of full on anti abortionists no one will consent to being shown on tv having an abortion because of the backlash?personally i wouldn’t allow myself to be shown having a personal operation like an abortion on tv no matter how much money and i certainly wouldn’t want anti abortionists to see me walking down the street and harass me with their opinions. but i guess i’d let them film other operations for the right price.
i’d just like to point out that i’m not for or against abortion, other peoples moral choices are none of my business. this is just what i think other people would think about the whole tv thing.

Abortions are obviously being filmed, how else are they available for those who’ve seen them being performed?
I trust those who say they’ve seen actual footage, maybe I’m gullible and it’s never happened but I’d find it hard to believe it’s not out there on tape somewhere.
I think it’s never been on TV because it’s just *way* too controversial and emotional. No station would risk losing advertisers and viewers to push the envelope *that* far.
Can’t see it happening, wouldn’t be profitable. How many would watch? I wouldn’t, I can’t imagine many would. It’d be suicide for any network to actually run a program like that =o/
