Question : Is this diet plan or system okay?
I am a diabetic. I had salad of bittergourd sauted on pan without oil and garnished with tomato and onion and a little salt. Above this I poured yoghurt and had the same with some arabic bread (brown). AFter an hour I felt like having sweetmeat made of diary products and sugar. So I had some two pieces of sweets. Is this okay??
I hope the bittergourd will neutralise the sugar in the sweetmeat?? Please advise. I am feeling scared

And how often are you checking your glucose?? You need to do some testing on foods.
Prepare your little salad and eat it. test before eating and 90 minutes after eating it. Journal the food, time and results of the glucose test.
Do the same for your yogurt on a different day, and on another day the bread.
If you wish to have those all in the same meal, then test as I advise above after finishing the meal. But tested separately will show you what that food is doing to or for you.
Do the testing on your sweetmeat the same way so you will know what it actually does to your glucose level.
I delete foods from my food plan that spike my glucose more than 50 points (American scale) unless it is something I don’t want to live without. Then I have a much smaller serving of it on a time schedule that spaces such goodies out a long way, like once a month.
I also recommend you find one of the little Carb Counter books. Atkins puts one out that is very economical and is found on most grocery checkouts and at the drug store checkouts also. Learn the carb counts of your foods! It will save you a great deal of grief.
What is your diet system ? You mentioned one meal.
